The Goal
The CEO of Povag had a clear vision: to evolve the company into a flexible, scalable, and analytics-driven organisation.

Moving to Google Cloud was a big part of that vision. While Povag had a strong sense of where they wanted to go, they relied on Crystalloids to help shape the technical strategy and bring it to life.

The Solution
To get started, Crystalloids set up a dedicated Google Cloud Organisation for Povag. This gave them full control over their cloud environment, with security policies and configurations tailored to their needs. It also made it easier to scale over time, manage costs, and keep systems secure.
The cloud foundation was built using Google Cloud’s Enterprise Foundations Blueprint, a best-practice framework that guides how organisations structure and secure their environments. This blueprint helped us design a layered setup, covering everything from networks to projects, while keeping things clear and maintainable.
We also introduced a VPC host project to manage networking across multiple environments. This allowed multiple service projects to share one secure network while maintaining a clear division between infrastructure and application responsibilities.
Automation was key. Using Terraform and Git, we built the entire foundation as code, which meant everything was repeatable, consistent, and easy to update. We also set up CI/CD pipelines to validate changes, enforce reviews, and speed up deployments, giving Povag a faster, safer way to evolve its environment.
Security was designed into every layer. We put extra guardrails in place to prevent things like public IP addresses, default network creation, or unauthorised access from outside domains. We also ensured that all data stayed within approved EU regions, helping Povag meet compliance requirements from day one.
The Result
Povag now has a solid and secure cloud foundation in place. In just a few weeks, they went from having no infrastructure to a fully working Google Cloud environment set up to support their data and analytics goals.
They now have:
- Their own GCP organisation with security policies tailored to their business
- A shared network setup that makes it easy to manage future projects
- Separate zones for landing, processing, and organising data
- Cloud Composer is in place to manage and automate data workflows.
This setup means Povag can start building data pipelines and analytics solutions immediately, without spending more time on technical groundwork. What used to take weeks to configure can now be done in days.
Their IT team can roll out changes faster and more safely using automated tools, and everything is built with EU data regulations and access controls in mind.
The foundation is ready to grow with them. Whether they want to build dashboards, automate reports, or explore machine learning down the line, they now have the proper setup to do it.
