What will you do as a solution consultant?

As a Solution Consultant, you play a key role in bridging business challenges with scalable, data-driven cloud solutions. You operate at the intersection of technology, commercial strategy, and client engagement, supporting both pre-sales activities and long-term account growth.

You report directly to the Head of Sales & Marketing and collaborate closely with delivery teams, clients, and strategic partners such as Google Cloud.

  • Commercial Value Engineering: Translate client needs into feasible technical architectures and clear commercial proposals.

  • Client & Account Success: Act as a trusted advisor, helping shape roadmaps and identify growth opportunities.

  • Ecosystem Enablement: Maximise value from Crystalloids’ partner ecosystem, with a strong focus on Google Cloud.

  • Flexible Execution: Depending on team priorities, focus on solution design, account growth, or partner operations.

Main responsibilities and tasks

Solution Design & Pre-Sales

  • Translate business requirements into clear project scopes, epics, and user stories.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams on technical approaches, architectures, and feasibility.
  • Validate solution budgets, risks, and delivery assumptions.
  • Create structured project proposals and cost estimates.

Account Management

  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing clients.
  • Conduct Strategic Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Manage renewals and support long-term client satisfaction.

Partner Management

  • Manage operational relationships with partners (Google Cloud).
  • Maintain partner portals and opportunity registrations.
  • Ensure compliance with Partner Specialisations and Expertise requirements.
  • Support the development of standardised solutions and “blueprints.”

Commercial Operations & Quoting

  • Translate technical scopes into clear commercial offers (SOWs, quotes, mini charters).
  • Support negotiations with transparent value and effort breakdowns.

Product & Knowledge Development

  • Identify market trends and repeatable use cases.
  • Contribute to sales collateral, demos, and internal knowledge sharing.

Experience and qualifications

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in solution consulting, pre-sales, or account management
  • Strong affinity with data, cloud platforms (GCP preferred), and Agile ways of working
  • Ability to translate business problems into practical technical or data solutions
  • Commercial insight into pricing, margins, and sales cycles
  • Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot) and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence)

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business IT, Commercial Economics, or a related field
  • Experience with Cloud Platforms (Google Cloud preferred)
  • Certifications in Cloud, Product Ownership, or Sales are a plus

Languages & Location

  • Fluent in English and Dutch
  • Residing in the Netherlands (mandatory)
