The problem

Every System Knows Only Part of the Story

Customer data is everywhere, in CRM, e-commerce platforms, marketing tools, loyalty systems, customer service applications. Each system holds a fragment of the customer, but no one owns the full picture. This fragmentation leads to:

What drives the need for a Customer Data Platform: first-party data, breaking down silos, anticipating consumer behaviour, real-time action, and a privacy-first world

Data debt

Duplicate records and inconsistent customer profiles across systems.

Compliance risk

Fragmented consent management and limited traceability across channels.

Operational friction

Marketing, service, and operations teams acting on outdated or incomplete data.

With over 15,000 Martech tools available, it's clear no single platform can do everything. That's why Crystalloids Contact Services focuses on flexibility and interoperability.

The approach

The CDP Reimagined: One API for Real-Time Customer Data

Instead of adding another black-box platform, Crystalloids implements a composable CDP built on Contact Services.

Contact Services is the engine of your CDP

It is a fully API-driven contact data layer that unifies every customer interaction into a single, trusted source of truth — a single customer view, or Customer 360 — without locking you into a fixed product or schema.

How it is built

Composable Foundation for Customer Data

Most packaged CDPs lock your data into their own platform and cloud. Contact Services is built differently, as an open, composable data infrastructure.

GCP-Native Ownership

It runs in your Google Cloud environment. You own the data, the security, and the infrastructure.

No Rigid Schemas

Built on a custom NoSQL solution. We adapt to your data model, not the other way around.

Action over Analytics

While other platforms focus on slow BI reports, Contact Services is built for instant action and real-time personalisation.

Security and compliance by default

OAuth2 authentication, GDPR-compliant consent handling, and privacy controls are embedded into every interaction.

Implementation

Implementation Without a Replatform

A customer data platform implementation with Contact Services changes where your customer data comes together — not which systems you run.

Because Contact Services runs in your own Google Cloud tenant, nothing migrates into a vendor's platform. The data, the infrastructure and the integrations stay yours; what gets built is the contact layer across them, addressed through one open API — REST, Pub/Sub and Apigee.

There is no schema to conform to either. The custom NoSQL foundation adapts to your data model rather than the other way around, so the work is less about redefining how you describe a customer and more about connecting the systems that already hold part of one — CRM, POS, e-commerce, ERP — and keeping them in step through webhooks instead of overnight batches.

Consent and security are not a workstream that follows the integrations. OAuth2 authentication and GDPR-compliant consent handling are built into every interaction, which is also why the fragmentation shows up in five places at once: marketing, legal and security, IT, customer service and finance.

What remains is a scoping conversation rather than a licensing one: which of the nine capabilities go live first, on a commercial model of an implementation fee plus a flat monthly service fee. Over a decade of CDP implementations and more than 100 use cases with pre-built code are there to draw on, which is where time to market is won. That, in practice, is what our CDP consulting is.
